Status: 12-month fixed term contract
Location: 22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto
We are currently seeking a creative and motivated Production Assistant to join the HarperCollinsProduction team. In this role, the Production Assistant will support HarperCollins publishing from transmittal to release to printer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the shepherding of projects through from manuscript to bound books
- Act as liaison between all departments
- Collaborating with editorial, design, and production departments on various tasks
- Assist with setting schedules to coordinate proofreading and design of the entire book project
- Estimate costs and finalize purchase orders for each component of a bound book
- Traffic materials digitally and by mail.
- Enter data related to book specifications
Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to manage projects and prioritize tight book schedules as needed
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
- College-level understanding of and use of the English language
- Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
- Ability to set priorities under pressure
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
