About the role

Murray Honda is growing again, and looking for our next superstar Appointment Coordinator to join our team of fun professionals!

As a key member of the Murray Honda team, the Business Development Representative reporting to the Service Manager, this position is responsible for performing

outbound and inbound calls for the service department, responding to customer emails, and working in conjunction with the service team to provide excellent customer service. The perfect BDC candidate is an active listener and able to communicate effectively, focused on creating a positive relationship with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers regarding reminders for required service, service appointments, rescheduling no-shows, and promoting campaigns and special events.

  • Book appointments based on manufacturer or dealer recommended maintenance schedules.

  • Respond to customer emails and messages with accurate personalized information and in a timely fashion.

  • Keep a detailed record and update the dealership management software after every interaction to ensure the customer receives consistent service from every department.

  • Develop and continue to develop strong customer relationships by greeting and assisting them in a friendly and courteous manner.

  • Provide customers with your full attention and uninterrupted service.

  • Handle all customer queries and concerns with a genuine intent to solve their problems.

  • Follow all standard operating procedures. Be knowledgeable and stay up to date regarding new features, specials, and updates.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an upbeat and engaging attitude. Excellent phone communication and a pleasant demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills including listening and the ability to impact and influence others. Organized and an attention to detail with the ability to document customer needs.
  • Flexible and open to change; take on special tasks as needed.
  • Ability to manage customer complaints and to solve difficult problems. Results oriented and accountable.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a high-stress environment
  • Able to work well both within a team and independently
  • Be invested in growing and expanding skills
  • Able to exercise patience.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and with email clients (Outlook, Gmail, etc.).

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • College certificate or additional courses would be an asset. Automotive/call center experience would be an asset.
  • One year customer service experience.
  • Adaptable to work weekend shifts as scheduled.
