Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team in Windsor, Canada. As a Cook in our organization, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards

Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards

Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and grills

Assist in menu planning and development of new recipes

Monitor and control food portions to minimize waste and maintain consistency

Ensure proper food storage and rotation to maintain freshness and quality

Participate in inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed

Adapt to changing customer needs and dietary requirements

Contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen atmosphere
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Food Handler's Certificate
- Red Seal Certificate
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional kitchen setting preferred
- Proficiency in various cooking methods, food preparation techniques, and knife skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety principles and practices
- Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Creativity in food presentation and plating
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and make adjustments as needed
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
