Our Deal Advisory - Valuations team in Vaughan is looking for a Consultant / Senior Consultant, Valuations. The selected candidate will contribute to the preparation of valuation models and reports for diverse engagements for external non-audit clients, as well as support the KPMG Audit Practice with various valuation assertions during their audit.
What You Will Do
- Support valuation assignments for transactions, financial reporting, and other services across various industries
- Oversee multiple engagements and ensure timely completion of client deliverables
- Evaluate business plans, financial statements, agreements, CIMs (Confidential Information Memorandums), etc.
- Develop financial models, apply valuation methodologies effectively, and conduct financial analyses using tools like Bloomberg and Capital IQ
- Perform industry and economic research
- Create, review, and edit reports, memorandums, tables, and graphs
What You Bring To The Role
- Completion of the CPA, CA (Chartered Accountant) designation - Candidates who have substantially completed the designation will also be considered
- Interest in obtaining the CBV (Chartered Business Valuator) designation
- Experience in accounting and/or valuations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and valuation-based software
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or other accounting standards (ASPE and US GAAP) and fair value issues and concepts
