POSITION SUMMARY
NAMCO has an immediate opening for a full-time Assembly Mechanic / Millwright / Mechanical Assembler / Heavy Duty Mechanic.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in the mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair of power transmission equipment, including gearboxes, gear drives, and transfer cases. We are seeking someone who is cooperative, detail-oriented, and physically capable of handling heavy components. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble, repair, and service gearboxes, transmissions, and mechanical drives
- Read and interpret 2D technical drawings and schematics
- Use precision measurement tools such as verniers and micrometers
- Perform quality checks on assembled components
- Support manufacturing and engineering teams as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Lift and move heavy components as part of daily duties
- Follow all health, safety, and company procedures
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues on shop floor
- Carry out general mechanical duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 1-year technical training in mechanical or industrial trades
- Minimum 1-year hands-on mechanical assembly or repair experience
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using measurement tools
- Experience with gearboxes, transmissions, or mechanical drives preferred
- Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy components
- Strong attention to detail and a cooperative team attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and support various tasks on the shop floor
SCHEDULE
- Monday to Friday, day shift
- Schedule may vary with workload
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Hourly Pay: $30.00 – $40.00+ per hour (negotiable as per relevant experience)
- Benefits include:
