Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and marinating food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality.
- Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen.
- Familiarity with various kitchen equipment and tools.
