Are you passionate about policy, detail-oriented, and looking to gain hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization? Karis Disability Services is seeking a Seasonal Policy Support Administrator to join our team for the summer. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports individuals with disabilities, while developing your skills in policy administration, research, and organizational systems. Full-Time, Temporary (7 weeks)
Seasonal Policy Support Administrator
40 hours/week
Waterloo, Ontario
The Seasonal Policy Support Administrator will assist the Operations Manager to administrate the implemented policy management software solution. The Seasonal Policy Support Administrator will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and other policy content specialists to review and analyze organizational policy, procedures, and collective agreements. They will work to transition all current existing policies and related documents to new templates in the policy management system.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Operations Manager to review and transition existing policies into a new policy management system.

Research and propose formatting and content standards for policy and procedure documents.

Compare organizational policies with collective agreements and identify discrepancies.

Update and maintain document templates, links, and references.

Assist in archiving, labeling, and securing paper and electronic records.

Support administrative tasks such as proofreading, filing, and data entry.
What We’re Looking For:

The successful candidate should be between the ages of 18 to 30 at the start of employment, be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and be legally entitled to work in Canada as per the Canada Summer Jobs participant requirements.

Currently or previously enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business Administration, Policy Development, or a related field.

0–1 year of related experience; data entry or database experience is an asset.

Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, databases, internet/email).

Excellent attention to detail and time management.

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively.
