About the role

Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on-site and off-site work based on the parameters for our operations to meet the needs of our donors, our staff and our communities. Currently, employees are expected to have an in-person presence for at least 40% of their work time. This requirement may vary depending upon circumstances.

About The Role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Analyst - Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation to join our dynamic Insight & Donor Experience team.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for delivering insightful management information by using data analysis, key performance indicators, internal and external benchmark data, and data visualization that helps CBS leaders make strategic and informed decisions about Donor Engagement and Corporate Reputation (DECR) operations.

Formula for success

  • Leveraging your excellent data analytical skills, you will develop and deliver analysis of DECR key performance indicators, operational metrics, and other critical business measures.
  • You will gather, integrate, analyze, and validate data using statistical measures.
  • Utilizing your superior interpersonal and communication skills you will interpret results of the DECR analytics to generate business insights.
  • Taping into your creativity and attention to detail, you will design, implement, and maintain intuitive dashboards and reports to support DECR operations and strategic decision-making, with a focus on efficient production, distribution, and actionable insights.
  • You will serve as the primary analytical subject matter expert for DECR processes, collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups, including Communications, Operations, Strategy & Planning, National Development, Marketing, Engagement & Sales, and Continuous Improvement.
  • You will provide input to DECR and enterprise strategic initiatives of various complexity.
  • Drawing from your project management experience, you will analyze portfolio performance measures based on Key Focus Areas defined by the corporate and DECR Strategy Plans and portfolio management and other project governance stakeholders.
  • You will represent DECR on cross-functional initiative teams.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of post-secondary level education in relevant discipline from a recognized academic institution, preferably a university degree in mathmatics, analytics, industrial engineering, computer science, or business.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in data/information management and applied statistical analysis.
  • Technical skills including experience with PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cognos, SAP BIW, or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of database management, data architecture, Excel, MS Access, MS Word, PowerPoint, web-based technology.
  • APICS/CPIM, data analytics certifications an asset.
  • Strong data and statistical analysis and knowledge application.
  • Interpret and translate detailed data into relevant information.

What you can expect

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40 % of the time/days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day.
