This role requires a Canadian Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, or Occupational Health Nurse (current licence in good standing) and offers the opportunity to contribute to our national disability case management program.

Position Overview The Program Manager – Disability Case Management (PM -DCM) will develop and implement an integrated case management program to be delivered in contracted service to a variety of clients in mining and other industry settings as required.
The PM-DCM will collaborate with existing and potential client groups and 24/7 OEMS corporate leadership to determine organizational needs for DM services, develop policies and procedures to support a high-quality program and develop and coordinate the case management team to ensure best practice and standard of care in disability management services. The PM-DCM will interface with key client contacts, 24/7 OEMS corporate leadership and other relevant stakeholders to monitor the program and make adjustments as needed to improve on deliverables.
The PM-DCM role will support other corporate management duties as required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Collaborate with 24/7 OEMS leadership in meeting with existing and potential clients to develop relationships and assess business needs for DM services.
- Conduct needs assessment of existing and potential DM services.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for DM program.
- Collaborate with 24/7 OEMS leadership to determine KPIs and conduct regular evaluation of DM program and services.
- Interface with key client contacts to determine organizational needs and initiate 24/7 OEMS DM services.
- As needed, provide direct disability case management during start up of contractual services with a new client.
- Assist with onboarding of staff for case management and provide comprehensive orientation and mentorship to new team members.
- Oversee case management services, and mentor team members as required.
- Collaborate with medical directors and case managers to review and troubleshoot complex case situations.
- Develop and deliver monthly (or other specified) reporting of metrics to evaluate the disability management system in place to both 24/7 OEMS and client contract groups as required
- Collaborate with case management team to review workers compensation
- Assist with development of information management and electronic health record systems to deliver services and key performance indicators.
- Flexible working hours may be required to meet deadlines.
Education/Experience
- Successful completion and graduation from a nursing/ occupational health / or physician assistant program and/or relevant experience in Disability Management in the occupational health environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ disability claims management /adjudication experience or equivalent combination of experience and specialized education. College or university degree and/or certificate or continuing education courses towards OHN, or similar industry designation. A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
- In-depth group benefit and product knowledge and experience working with Third-Party Administrators (Insurance carriers, Occupational Testing vendors, Workers’ Compensation Boards).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, time management and decision-making abilities are required.
- Strong planning and organizing skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and performance driven environment as well as to adapt quickly and comfortably to change.
- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills combined with professional telephone etiquette.
- Aptitude to work in a consultative mode with corporate clients - excellent customer service and results oriented in high volume environment.
- Demonstrated analytical and negotiating skills while managing difficult situations, with professional integrity.
- Knowledge and experience working with union represented workforces is an asset.
- Strong team player who is also capable of working Independently, demonstrates a positive attitude and a desire to succeed.
- Familiarity with Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook); demonstrated ability to learn and work well with customized computer software, including electronic medical record system such as Cority.
- Evidence of active participation in professional growth and development activities.
Compensation
- $53.00 - $58.00 per hour
- Benefits after completion of 90-day probationary period
- 3 weeks of vacation
- Continuing Professional Development funding
