About the role

Akkodis is seeking a CA-Field Technical Support Consultant 3 for a contract position with a client in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Ideally looking for experience with IMACD(Install, Move, Add, Change, De-install), ITSM, experience as an Onsite Technician preference would be someone with the required skills and experience, particularly in large organizations

Duration: 2 years

Job Summary:

The role would be 3 days a week. Currently, it is Tuesday-Thursday with hours of 7-4.

The Onsite Technician is responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of systems and equipment.

This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining hardware and software components, and IMACD events (Install, Move, Add, Change, De-install), as well as providing assistance to end-users.

The Onsite Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and performance of IT assets, directly impacting the quality-of-service delivery and user satisfaction. By ensuring timely resolution of issues and proactive maintenance, the Onsite Technician contributes to the overall efficiency, effectiveness and continuity of Festo business.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.

• Maintain and repair various types of assets, including computers, printers, and network equipment.

• Ensure all tickets are created and managed in the ITSM system.

• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues.

• Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as an Onsite Technician or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.

• Familiarity with various asset types, including computers, printers, and network equipment.

• ITSM knowledge is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
