Job Summary
Now, if you were to come on board as our Distribution Manager we’d ask you to do the following for us:
- Develop strategic relationship with Distribution Partner’s account team to drive business relationship, identifying key initiatives, developing project plan, and managing plan execution
- Extract new value from distributor relationships through contract optimization, joint business planning and partnership activities.
- Manage monthly forecast activities
- Collaborate with Compliance to optimize availability of products and propose the most effective route to market.
- Seek to reduce logistic costs and improve supply chain efficiencies.
- Work with distribution team in developing and monitoring all distributor Business Plans as well as the Quarterly Business reviews.
- Evaluate on-going service level requirements, maintain distributor scorecards.
- Manage escalation of BuySmart inquiries, work to improve distributor service levels.
- Keep distributors current in paying volume allowances.

- 2-3 years of management experience in foodservice distribution, category management, or purchasing strongly preferred. People management experience encouraged.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Supply Chain or related field of study preferred; significant related experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
- High degree of experience utilizing Excel applications. Power BI proficiency, preferred.
- Experience utilizing Supply Chain and Bravo, preferred.
- Strong financial and forecast experience.
- Communication – Strong professional presentation and interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to create executive summaries for senior leadership
- A great attitude –flexibility, optimism, resourcefulness and transparency.
