The Shopper Marketing   Account Manager  is a dynamic role, where you are a primary contact to clients. To be successful as a you will need to bring your creative mindset, detail-oriented focus, and strategic business acumen in your approach to developing and growing long-term partnerships.

This role is responsible for delivering the marketing and financial objectives of each project, adeptly balancing client and internal expectations, resources, and constraints to consistently achieve superior results on a brief budget and on time.

Please note, that this is a hybrid role consisting of remote working from home two days per week (Monday, Friday), and three days working in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Work with a Senior Account Manager or Account Director to develop and execute marketing programs for assigned clients.
  • As the primary client contact, lead, and foster relationships at all levels.
  • Build account revenue; collaborate on strategy and manage execution to ensure client loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of several internal documents including briefs, program estimates, copy decks, distribution summaries and invoicing.
  • Cross-team responsibility – liaise with / provide direction to creative, production and digital teams.
  • Participate in concept and creative development/presentation.
  • Revenue / Cost accountability
  • Participate in new business pitches and development of proposals.
  • Mentor and contribute to the development of junior account team members.
  • Oversee multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met – internally and externally.
  • Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and creative quality.
  • Discuss client’s chosen direction with Creative.

YOUR AREAS OF EXPERTISE

  • You bring a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in an agency environment, with proven shopper marketing experience and knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape.
  • Experience developing omni-channel plans that include implementing e-commerce strategy with CPG client is an asset (retailer platforms, amazon.ca, digital programmatic).
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Advertising or Communications or combined experience and education to be considered.
  • You’re a master multitasker, responding positively to the changing needs of the organization.
  • You oversee projects and deliverables, ensuring clear business and social impact goals are set and evaluated.
  • You develop and control budgets, ensuring projects are on budget and on time.
  • You develop and execute the process with detailed work plans.
  • You build strong relationships, becoming a trusted advisor to your clients by understanding their business, industry, and competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Superior problem-solving skills and creativity.
  • Strong financial management and literacy to create revenue growth by identifying opportunities with existing clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed presentation skills.
  • French language skills, written and verbal are considered an asset.
