Sales Associate
About the role
Insight Global is seeking a Sales Associate to join a client in Chilliwack, BC, Canada . The role involves converting leads generated by the marketing team into sales through various communication channels. It requires guiding potential customers through a consultative sales process to identify their needs and recommend tailored solutions. This will be onsite 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:

Inbound Sales Focus: Convert leads generated by the performance marketing team through chat, phone, and email into sales. Campaigns are planned, run and executed by the marketing team which provides leads to the sales team.

Customer Needs Assessment: Guide potential customers through a consultative sales process, identifying their needs, preferences, and budgets to recommend tailored solutions.

Product Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of the product range, including features, benefits, and optional add-ons like screens, lighting, or smart control units.

Upselling & Cross-Selling: Proactively suggest relevant upgrades (e.g. motorized options) to increase average order value.

CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, ensuring accurate documentation of preferences, objections, and next steps. Leadsheet for now.

Sales Follow-Up: Execute timely follow-ups to close undecided leads or address remaining concerns.

Sales Exhibitions: Attend relevant exhibitions and events to showcase our products, sell to customers, and increase brand exposure.

Competitor Knowledge: understand the difference between main competitors and be able to communicate them effectively to customers. Raise awareness about new competitors.
Required Skills & Experience:
-0-3 years of sales experience
-Strong verbal communication and active listening skills to build trust.
-Basic understanding of consultative selling techniques for high-ticket items.
-Ability to overcome objections with persuasive and professional responses.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Previous experience in e-commerce, luxury goods, or home improvement products
