About the role

Abbotsford Nissan is part of the Steve Marshall Group, which operates new, used, and RV dealerships throughout British Columbia and the US. We are an award-winning brand with more than 400 employees, and we are looking to add one more as a full-time General Sales Manager.

Role Summary

The General Sales Manager (GSM) at Abbotsford Nissan plays a pivotal role in driving the overall success of the dealership's sales operations. As the leader of the sales department, the GSM is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, fostering a customer-focused culture, and ensuring the seamless integration of sales with other departments. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, while also maintaining strong relationships with customers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders.

The GSM will oversee all aspects of the sales process, from inventory management to customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and industry standards. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Full leadership of all new and used vehicle sales operations.
  • Daily coaching, development, and performance management of the entire sales team.
  • Aggressive recruiting to continuously upgrade and strengthen the team.
  • Complete accountability for meeting or exceeding all monthly sales targets and financial objectives.
  • Total ownership of CRM performance, appointment setting, deal board management, and full sales process execution.
  • Working closely with finance, service, and ownership to drive overall dealership success.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive sales management experience with documented high performance.
  • Proven ability to recruit, train, and lead top-performing teams.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and conflict management skills.
  • Absolute commitment to daily process discipline and accountability.
  • Strong financial acumen and desking experience.
  • Ability to lead a sales floor with urgency, energy, and a winning attitude.
