In this role, you’ll deliver hands-on training, digital literacy coaching, and troubleshooting support while also monitoring platform engagement, identifying barriers, and recommending improvements to strengthen access and impact.

This is an ideal role for someone who blends career advising experience with strong digital skills and a commitment to inclusion. You’re comfortable demystifying technology for all users and passionate about making employment services more effective and accessible.

What will you do?

Support Staff Adoption

  • Train staff on using the digital career platform to support client outcomes
  • Act as an internal digital “superuser” and resource for troubleshooting, updates, and tips
  • Develop onboarding tools and resources to meet diverse staff learning needs

Coach Jobseekers

  • Deliver 1:1 and group platform orientation sessions, tailored to each user’s digital comfort level
  • Provide hands-on digital literacy coaching using plain language and accessible methods
  • Co-pilot job search activities, including resume building and AI-assisted applications

Monitor Engagement and Drive Improvements

  • Track platform usage and flag common challenges
  • Collect feedback from staff and clients to inform updates and future training
  • Contribute to internal evaluation, sharing insights on what’s working and where gaps exist

Champion Digital Inclusion and Organizational Learning

  • Stay informed on trends in digital equity, AI in employment, and accessible design
  • Assess the effectiveness, accessibility, and consistency of platform use across teams
  • Recommend changes that improve user experience and align tools with best practices
  • Support cross-team learning by sharing strategies that enhance digital engagement

What does it take to do this job?

  • Post-secondary education in Career Development, Adult Education, Social Work, IT, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in employment or career services, with strong digital competency.
  • Experience training staff and/or supporting adult learners in digital environments.
  • Comfortable with digital platforms, AI-assisted tools, and online career resources.
  • Strong grasp of career advising principles, labour market trends, and employment coaching.
  • Awareness of digital equity and accessibility issues affecting jobseekers.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability and a user-friendly approach to tech support.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively in a fast-changing environment.
  • Ability to gather and synthesize user feedback to improve platform engagement and training approaches.
  • Skilled at identifying barriers to platform use and recommending practical, inclusive solutions.
  • A systems thinker who looks for ways to improve quality, consistency, and accessibility in digital service delivery.
