Position Overview:
Responsible for executing against CIBC Mellon’s Change and Release management framework, and associated processes and procedures in support of continuously delivering project releases from the planning phase to deployment and handoff to operational support across multiple service providers.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible to provide support to domain-specific release management resources in various business areas and departments, as well as to service providers and vendors, by coordinating and providing release management consultation in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicating and managing expectations or project teams and stakeholders during the planning and implementation of new project releases
- Conducting release readiness reviews for project implementations
- Assessing, analyzing and approving all technology changes impacting CIBC Mellon, across multiple service providers
- Communicating changes and change impact to CIBC Mellon stakeholders as required
- Responsible to provide KPI metrics for measuring and reporting on Change & Release activity while identifying opportunities for improvement. KPI metrics includes:
o Tracking release changes, percentage of success of release changes, use of testing environments, and release calendars across all system applications, service providers and vendors
- Ability to define critical analytics to measure success, drive continuous improvement, and recommend key data driven decisions
- Formalizes and oversees a release plan that covers integration testing, user acceptance testing, documentation and associated operational procedures, such as system management instrumentation, support procedures, run book procedures, service catalog, configuration management database (CMDB) and rollback planning
Qualifications:
Specific Knowledge & Skills (not preferred or an asset)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline

3-5 years of in-depth experience in release management of a technology platform

understanding of ITIL Release & Change Management disciplines and Project Management methodologies and lifecycle

Working knowledge of systems development lifecycle

Ability to influence results through decision-making and influencing key stakeholders

Self-starter, very detail oriented and extremely efficient and effective working with and obtaining support from cross-functional teams
Working Conditions Unique to Job (i.e. Standard Office Environment)
- Normal office hours, with some requirement for after hours or weekend to support major initiatives
- Fast-paced work environment, with multiple competing high priority initiatives
