Ready to be part of the action? TMX Newsfile is the largest Canadian-owned news dissemination and regulatory filing provider. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the News & Filing Specialist is responsible for news dissemination services and for processing documents for filing to the Canadian Provincial Securities Commissions through SEDAR+ & SEDI and the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) through EDGAR.

Key Accountabilities

• Processing news releases for dissemination
• Detailed document proofing and reviewing of content prior to distribution
• Ensuring that regulatory compliance filings are performed in an accurate, timely and proficient manner
• Responding to customer inquiries and developing client relationships
• Additional light administrative duties

Must Haves

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications and HTML
• Excellent customer service skills (including professional telephone manner)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
• Ability to perform under pressure of deadlines while maintaining a high quality of work.

Nice To Haves

• Prior exposure to news dissemination and/or regulatory filing (SEDAR/EDGAR)
• Experience with editorial reviewing and proofreading
• Solid understanding of Financial Markets and Publicly Listed Companies

Note: Remote Position working Sunday to Thursday 12pm to 8pm PST (open to candidates located in Alberta)

Salary Range: 40K/year - 50K/year
