About the role

Styx Intelligence is a fast-growing leader in Digital Risk Protection (DRP), Attack Surface Management, and Threat Intelligence, delivering cutting-edge solutions that help organizations safeguard their digital presence against evolving threats.

Our unified SaaS platform empowers enterprise customers with end-to-end capabilities across Brand Protection, Exposure Management, and Third-Party Risk Monitoring — enabling them to detect, manage, and remediate external cyber and brand threats with speed and precision.

At Styx Intelligence, we foster a collaborative, high-growth culture rooted in ambition, humility, honesty, and transparency. If you're passionate about cybersecurity and thrive in a dynamic startup environment, we’d love to connect.

Role Description

Styx Intelligence is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer based in Canada to support our Sales team in driving new business, exceeding revenue targets, and expanding our customer base.

In this role, you’ll act as the technical lead in pre-sales engagements, bridging the gap between customer needs and Styx Intelligence’s solutions. You will work closely with sales leadership, customers, and partners to deliver technical expertise, lead product demonstrations, and ensure successful Proof Of Concept (POC) engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the technical expert on Styx Intelligence’s platform, guiding prospects, customers and partners through live product demonstrations, POC evaluations, and technical deep dives.

Collaborate closely with the sales team and our partners to translate customer requirements into tailored solutions, clearly articulating the value of our unified DRP, attack surface management, and threat intelligence capabilities.

Lead technical engagements with mid-market and enterprise clients, addressing how Styx mitigates key risks such as brand impersonation, third-party exposure, and external attack surface vulnerabilities

Position Styx Intelligence competitively by providing insight into alternative solutions and articulating technical differentiators in a way that resonates with both technical and business audiences.

Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders — from security analysts to CISOs — ensuring technical alignment and trust throughout the sales cycle.

Support channel partners including Systems Integrators (SIs) and Managed Security Services Providers (MSSPs), assisting in technical enablement, partner-led sales motions, and co-selling opportunities.

Gather and relay customer feedback to the Product team to help shape the product roadmap, influence platform enhancements, and drive the development of new features based on real-world use cases.

Define and manage technical success criteria for POCs, ensuring customer needs are met and trials are aligned with desired outcomes — ultimately helping to accelerate deal closure and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales role, with a strong foundation in cybersecurity preferably in SaaS platforms.

Proven success supporting mid-market and enterprise customers through complex sales cycles, including technical evaluations, competitive positioning, and stakeholder alignment.

Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful technical presentations and product demos that clearly communicate the business value of cybersecurity solutions.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the adaptability to thrive in both startup and enterprise environments — self-starter with a bias for action.

Exceptional communication skills , both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
