Accounting Clerk Our Company InspecTech was incorporated in 1977, the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) equipment industry consisted largely of vendors offering instruments and probes for manual testing only. InspecTech’s objective was then clear: to supply engineered solutions to NDT problems by providing innovative and rugged test systems, fully integrated into the production environment. Today, in addition to our in-house electrical and mechanical engineers, the company has software and firmware specialists, and all Information Technology functions are customized to our systems and to our client’s own needs.

Overview The Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining financial records, including processing invoices and managing accounts payable and receivable. They ensure accuracy in financial documentation and support the accounting team with daily administrative tasks. The Accounting Clerk will report to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Use QuickBooks/ Excel to prepare and record assets, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Monitor and analyze inventory, COGS, and manufacturing variances on a monthly basis.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Summarize financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements
- Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential
Knowledge And Skills
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles and GAAP
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- Completed bachelor’s degree program with a focus on Accounting, Finance or related field is required.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
- Previous knowledge of AP/AR.
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
