We are seeking a dedicated and professional Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. This role is designed to complement the schedule of our existing Scheduling Coordinator, ensuring seamless operations and coverage. Job type: Part-time

Compensation: $20- $23 Hour

Shift & Schedule: Friday 5pm – 11pm, Saturday/Sunday/STAT Holidays – 6am-9am and 7pm-11pm

Total Hours: 21 per week

Location: Remote

Role Overview:

As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the allocation of employee resources within our Support Homes and IHACSS programs. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing schedules, coordinating with Support Home Supervisors, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to maintain positive relations, and a commitment to employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all Support Home schedules in consultation with the Scheduling Coordinator, ensuring employee resources are allocated effectively based on contracted needs.
  • Communicate regularly and directly with front line staff for shift coverage
  • Handle vacation, PTO, and unpaid time off requests in accordance with IHACSS policies.
  • Work closely with Support Home Supervisors to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and maintain operational efficiency & provide coverage for the on-call scheduler.
  • Prepare and complete monthly reports for the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
  • Foster and maintain positive public relations, ensuring a respectful and professional work environment.
  • Encourage and support personal growth and ongoing skill development among employees.
  • Stay updated on procedures, the Health and Safety Manual, and relevant legislation to ensure compliance and uphold standards.
  • Participate in conflict resolution and mediation processes as needed to address and resolve workplace issues.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of related experience working with scheduling programs.

Experience working in a unionized setting is an asset.

Ability to manage challenging conversations and prioritize tasks effectively.

Demonstrated skills in time management with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Experience with Synerion scheduling system is an asset.
