Overview
We are looking for a candidate to work overnights 8 Pm - 8 Am four days a week and next week 3 nights In a private home Clients are 95 and 91 Looking for a kind caregiver with experience in dealing with seniors
We also have part time hours available For weekends and a few days
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing care to a couple of seniors, requiring assistance in their daily lives. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering support in various aspects of their care.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety during outings or appointments.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or similar roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Ability to administer medication safely and effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving duties, including lifting or transferring clients when necessary.
- Must be willing to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
