Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

This position is a hybrid position that will be required to handle shipping/receiving and material handling duties as well as assist production in daily tasks to enhance efficiency throughout the shop.

This position is based on a 40 hour per week on day shift. Additional/Overtime hours may be required based on business schedule.

This is an open position with a salary range of $23.29-$27.23 per hour.

Main responsibilities:

Shipping/Receiving

• Responsible for the safe movement of parts from location to location within the plant, using hand pump truck and forklift, manual lifting and pushing wagons, helps in shipping department when required.
• Unloads trucks, movement within raw storage.
• Packaging finished goods to prepare for shipment
• Makes sure ODS Book travels with parts, serializes parts.
• Co-Ordinate and arrange transportation shipments.
• Monitors deliveries, ties delivery dates in with customer requirements.
• Prepares customs documentation.
• Dump chip bins using forklift
• Receiving materials into BaaN
• Organizing materials and storage areas in a practical and functional manner utilizing good house-keeping practices.
• Operating material handling equipment adhering to standard safety practices.

Production

• Assist with preventive maintenance activities of the machine and peripherals.
• Wash Parts in the degreaser

Other Duties

• Operation of the floor scrubber daily throughout the plant
• Assist with annual physical inventory.
• 5-S/Housekeeping responsibilities.
• Adhering to all Company policies and procedures, including H&S requirements.
• Attends shift start up meetings
• Other duties as required

Qualifications:

• Forklift experience
• Ability to move parts throughout the facility in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to prioritize workload to ensure customer demands are satisfied, ability to work under tight deadlines
• Organizational ability
• Must comply with all HD confidentiality
• Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner with frequent interruptions and constantly shifting priorities
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload to ensure efficient support to plant operations
