Northwood is currently accepting applications for a Food Service Worker (FSW) for our Bedford location.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 academic or equivalent
- Two to three years of food service work experience in long-term health care, hospital, hotel, or restaurant facility.
- Completion of any of the following: Basic Food Safety Certification, Food Service Workers Course or equivalent, Basic Food Preparation or equivalent
- Experience working with the elderly within a decentralized meal service environment that provided the basic principles and concepts used in all functional areas of a food service operation.
- Knowledge of food safety, safe food handling, and cleaning and sanitizing practices.
- Must be able to prioritize work, follow oral/written instructions, and maintain established resident/client service standards.
- Must be of sound physical well-being (able to lift 50 lbs at a time), in good general health, and able to endure the day-to-day pressures of the position.
- Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance by the Northwood corporate standard.

Hours of Work: 1 Year Term - 32 hours bi-weekly(8 hours shifts) - Days/Evenings: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
