About the role

Description:
You are an essential part of the Housekeeping team. Your role could be described as urgent courier, bellman, cleaner, Inventory attendant etc. You will be Panorama’s liaison between the Housekeeping dept., Front desk & our guests! Whatever our guests and department needs, you will be that person to respond. Prioritizing and responding to calls efficiently and professionally is essential. Most importantly responding to guests and departments requests in a customer oriented with good communication skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Keep lines of communication open and be accountable for your time throughout the day.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels in Housekeeping storerooms throughout the resort.
  • Complete daily tasks in a timely manner as determined by the Distribution & Controls Supervisor.
  • Ensure all calls are prioritized in order of importance and responded to promptly.
  • Communicate with the Housekeeping-Office and Front Desk regarding any calls that are unclear or not fully understood.
  • Always adhere to the strictest personal and radio conduct when in uniform and on duty.
  • Drive Panorama vehicles at speeds no greater than 30 km/hr, following all Panorama road-signs. Always yield to pedestrians and guest vehicles when on duty.
  • Report all inventory deficiencies or damage to units/around the resort to the Housekeeping Coordinator immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Valid British Columbia driver’s license required.
  • Able to multi-task, work well under stress and meet targeted deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable under changing conditions & priorities.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, late nights and holidays. This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy.
  • Must possess safe work habits and an awareness of safe work procedures.
  • Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals (rubber gloves are provided).
  • Must be in good physical condition, fit & able to lift heavy objects for prolonged periods of time.
