About the role

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent; MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in corporate finance and/or professional services/consulting roles in the Software/SaaS industry
  • Demonstrated prowess in financial and strategic planning, including core competencies in budgeting and reporting, financial modeling and analysis, capital budgeting and familiarity with corporate accounting
  • Excellent analytical, modeling and communication skills, in-depth experience with financial statement analysis and a strong understanding of corporate finance concepts
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint; experience with collaborative office tools (e.g., SharePoint) a plus
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task; an independent / flexible problem solver who can cope positively with changes in the work environment
  • Ability to respond and prioritize effectively while meeting deadlines
  • Proficiency with full financial statement modeling and forecasts, including sales, revenue, gross and operating margin, net working capital, and cash flow
  • Experience with financial and strategic planning, operational budgeting, and capital budgeting and familiarity with corporate accounting concepts
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite), business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI), and cloud-based planning tools (e.g., Planful)

What the job involves

  • Absolute is seeking an experienced, energetic, analytical-minded person looking to continue their professional development within a fast-paced Global Finance Team
  • Reporting into the AVP, Finance, this role involves work at the corporate level, analyzing data to provide executives with the information needed to make informed business decisions
  • Develop, analyze, and interpret financial and operating results and information, improving forecast accuracy and visibility
  • Analyze departmental results to forecast, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting package for senior executive leaders and PE operating partners
  • Prepare of annual budget, quarterly and monthly forecasts
  • Prepare of supplementary information for inclusion in quarterly BOD presentations
  • Participate in the evolution and execution of financial updates for various internal and external stakeholders, including senior executive leaders and the Company’s Board
  • Support the financial evaluation and implications of potential new products, operating models, contracts, marketing programs and technology solutions
  • Collaborate with analysts and managers across the organization to coordinate use of data and KPIs
  • Develop and manage financial tools that provide visibility and transparency into departmental costs, as well as to automate routine tasks and streamline processes
  • Act as the super-user and administrator of the cloud-based forecasting system, developing dashboards and other relevant reports to facilitate executive leadership on their business decisions
  • Perform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for use in presentations for internal and external stakeholders
