Part Time Multi-Site Medical Radiation Technologist

Rate of Pay: $36.84 – $50.24 per hour
Schedule: Part Time Multi-Site Assignment
Location: Walkerton, Kincardine, Durham
Applications are currently being accepted for a Part Time Multi-Site Medical Radiation Technologist for the Walkerton site of the South Bruce Grey Health Centre with shifts also assigned to the Kincardine and Durham sites. This position is part of a combined Diagnostic Imaging & Cardiorespiratory Department.
Regular shift assignment will include core MRT duties, General Radiography and Computed Tomography, with possibilities of continuing current modalities. Responsibilities include performing high quality radiographic examinations and ensuring a safe working environment. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to maintain competency in the radiology department.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario required
- Registration with the CAMRT preferred
- Computed Tomography Experience preferred
- Current CPR certification required
- Working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation and imaging Technologists of Ontario and the Health Professionals Act
- Experience with Digital Radiography equipment, and Regional SWODIN PACS considered an asset
- Demonstrate Quality imaging
- Epiphany or other Cardio server software experience preferred
- Mammography or Bone Density or GI Enhanced Practice certification is an asset
- Proven interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with patients and staff
- Able to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education as required
- Ability to provide participatory leadership, team building skills and inter-professional collaboration
- Knowledge of and adherence to SBGHC Core Values
- Advocates and supports a culture of patient safety and demonstrates an understanding of how the department service and assigned responsibilities contribute to overall patient safety at SBGHC through patient safety knowledge, skills and attitudes
- Recent satisfactory performance with demonstrated excellence in attendance required
- Knowledge of and adherence to Occupational Health & Safety and infection control principles
