Position Title: Senior Account Director
Reports To: President
Position Summary:
The Senior Account Director is responsible for understanding all components of their clients including current and future needs. This position is responsible for retaining and growing clients through establishing positive relationships and maintaining the client's satisfaction. It requires intensive client service and the ability to provide solutions to client's issues. This role, coupled with creative knowledge includes overseeing, developing and managing creative concepts and designs for client projects. The role will include marketing development, management and strategy.
Client Relations/Account Management:
- Coordinate and implement marketing functions in accordance with the company’s/clients marketing plans.
- Develop and prepare RFP’s and client presentations.
- Provide a high level of support to all marketing initiatives.
- Provide strategy and creative planning for clients.
- Coordination with DMG team for creative briefing, execution and follow up.
- Client coordination, reporting and management.
- Trafficking creative approvals between clients and internal team.
- Meet with suppliers for respective quotes and information.
- Manage budgets and billings for respective clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop marketing/creative strategies, creative implementation, execution and follow up.
- Develop and coordinate campaigns and individual marketing projects.
- Special event management/execution.
- Interpret and analyze qualitative and quantitative research.
- Ensure creative direction is in keeping with brands guidelines for each client.
- Writing external communication documents. Copy-writing for clients as needed.
- Participates in new business pitches, with emphasis on the strategic marketing and creative perspective.
- Present ideas and campaigns in verbal and written communications.
- Teach, guide and mentor others.
- To ensure the production takes place on a timely basis - mounting creative for presentation, saving files for vendors in required formats for specific mediums, checking content and quality for accuracy when returned from print house.
- Manage team to ensure timely delivery of design work and on budget.
- Complying with tasks assigned by the Account Manager.
Accountability:
- Accurate and timely scheduling results in good customer service and repeat business.
- Good rapport with print representatives results in efficient work order completion.
- Good office protocol ensures good customer relations.
- Maintain good client relationships results in repeat business.
- Maintain a good public image for Douglas Marketing Group.
Skills:
- Self-starter.
- Great leadership and project management abilities.
- Creative and strategic thinker.
- Understands the functions and works well with internal departments: creative, digital and production.
- Passionate and motivated.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- University or College Degree.
- 5+ years of Account Management experience, ideally in an agency setting.
- A passion for technology, emerging media and creative.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- An understanding of marketing communications.
- Adobe Creative Suite Knowledge, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of the print process.
- Knowledge in digital design (Websites, social media, online advertising)
- PC-Mac compatibility.
- Initiative and drive - having the ability to initiate and deliver high quality results consistently and keep focused on improving performance.
- Must have the flexibility to work overtime as required.
- Positive attitude.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
- Valid passport is required with ability to travel to the United States.
Salary based on experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,691.45-$100,000.00 per year
