Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Student Financial Aid & Government Programs Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in securing and managing provincial funding programs such as WSIB, Employment Insurance (EI), Better Jobs Ontario, Canada-Ontario Job Grant (COJG), and other relevant government initiatives.

This role is crucial in ensuring our students receive optimal financial support and guidance, significantly enhancing their career training opportunities and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison with government funding agencies, including WSIB, EI, Better Jobs Ontario, COJG, and other grant programs.

• Assist students in understanding and accessing available government funding options, providing step-by-step guidance on applications and qualification processes.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with funding program officers and government contacts.

• Ensure compliance with all funding regulations, maintaining thorough and accurate documentation.

• Monitor and interpret changes in funding programs and advise the leadership team accordingly.

• Develop strategies to maximize funding opportunities and increase enrollment through funded programs.

• Provide regular reports and analysis on funding program utilization and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in managing government-funded educational programs in Ontario.

• Comprehensive understanding of WSIB, EI, Better Jobs Ontario, COJG, and related government grant systems.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively navigate relationships with government agencies and students.

• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and proactively manage funding processes and relationships.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with educational management software.
