Job Overview:
This 3 months contract role of Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting day-to-day warehouse operations across receiving, kitting, and shipment areas. This includes handling inventory movements, preparing parts for production, managing incoming and outgoing shipments, and operating forklifts safely. This role requires accuracy, responsibility, and effective collaboration with other warehouse and production team members.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, materials, supplies, equipment, mail and messenger services. Prepares and packs goods for shipment, load and unload carriers. Unpacks and counts goods received. Routes materials to inspection, stores or other destinations. Maintains necessary files and documentation. May load shipment/inventory. Utilizes small hand tools and operate material handling equipment. Performs pick-up and delivery of mail and packages at various locations. Provides messenger/courier service for messages, documents, packages, goods, etc. Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail, including using a scale to determine appropriate postage. Records postage charges for assignment to department accounts. May operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials at various local destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily operation of forklifts and warehouse system to move and prepare parts.
- Kitting and preparing components for production based on manufacturing needs.
- Receiving incoming goods from external suppliers and recording inventory.
- Sorting and storing parts in accordance with warehouse layout and procedures.
- Packing and shipping parts to customers per order requirements.
- Participating in inventory counts and maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in warehouse work areas.
- Adhering to safety and operational standards at all times.
- All Other Reasonable Duties as Assigned.
Qualifications:

Education: Secondary education or vocational training in logistics or related fields preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in warehouse operations or similar roles is an asset.

Languages: Proficiency in local language required, English is an asset.

Other: Licenses to operate forklifts (UDT) is a must.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:

Work Environment: Warehouse environment with physical handling of materials and equipment.

Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift and move components up to 25 kg.

Other: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required; adherence to safety standards mandatory.
