About us:

Concord Pacific Developments Corp. is Canada’s largest master-planned community builder. It was formed in 1987 to develop Concord Pacific Place on the former Expo lands in downtown Vancouver, Canada.

Concord has not only transformed the Concord Pacific Place Vancouver skyline, the group also built the second largest master-planned community, Concord CityPlace in Toronto (Concord Adex), in addition to other communities of scale across the country with expansion also to London, United Kingdom and Seattle, United States. Concord has built over 150 towers with an additional 50 in various stages of planning and development. Concord is committed to a multitude of neighbourhood and city-wide community sponsorships and charities. It has also been making art accessible to the community neighbourhoods by establishing Canada’s largest public art program.

Over the past 30 years, The Concord Group of companies has also diversified into business sectors such as: software and information technology, telecommunications, and green energy projects in solar, wind and hydroelectric power generation.

We are actively hiring an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our group.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and process accounts payable invoices, cheques and wire transfers

Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date, taking advantage of vendor terms, where appropriate

Resolve invoice discrepancies

Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries

Sorting and filing all paid invoices and other documents, as needed

Reconciling vendor statements, bank statements and other related accounts

Receive and verify employee expense reports, including company credit cards

Ensure the Accounting System is updated regularly for accuracy of vendor contact and address information

Perform other related accounts payable duties as required

Various ad hoc and special projects

Other duties may be required

Required Experience and Qualifications:

At least 1 year of accounting experience in a similar role

A diploma or degree in accounting or administration, or equivalent

General knowledge of accounting processes and procedures

Strong knowledge of office applications – Excel, Word, Outlook

Experience with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate program is an asset

Excellent phone and email etiquette and ability to write clear and concise business communications

Ability to work proactively both independently and in a team environment

Impeccable accuracy with numbers and high level of attention to detail

A solid work ethic with ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced high-volume environment

Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner
