We’re looking for a  Plywood  

Supervisor

 to join our  EcoLogo-certified facility located in Armstrong, British Columbia . Our  Armstrong Plywood Division  safely and sustainably produces  195 million square feet of plywood every year f or customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. 

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of   plywood manufacturing

      and   quality attributes.

  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience preferably in a manufacturing setting.

  • The ability to   find solutions

      and   meet targets

      and   achieve results .

  • A   post-secondary education related to forestry, business or engineering

      is a bonus!

  • Strong   leadership,

      organizational, planning

      and   communication skills.

In this role, you will:   

  • Demonstrate your  commitment to safety by leading by example and ensuring  every employee goes home safe .
  • Achieve high standards of  product quality and production goals  by supervising work performed and product outturn.
  • Develop fully trained operators  by instituting ongoing coaching for all critical positions.
  • Provide  production reports  by summarizing daily production records.
  • Maintain plywood schedules by  coordinating with sales, shipping and veneer departments.
  • Produce a product of  consistent quality  by scheduling veneer dryers according to lay-up requirements and sales orders.
  • Empower and develop your team to meet all  safety, recovery, quality and production targets  consistently.
  • Provide  meaningful feedback and support  to your team to ensure that your team is engaged.
