About the role

Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Manager, Slots, this position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the slots operation on a shift basis while establishing and contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Is responsible for assisting with the planning and directing of slots operations, ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and assists in providing a learning environment. Assists with developing performance objectives and delivering performance evaluations, assists with the implementation all new slot operations initiatives. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provides input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
  • Schedules and supervises team members; edits timesheets for payroll
  • Monitors shift work assignments
  • Resolves customer disputes; reports irregularities, disputes and suspicious activities; prepares CRS Incident Reports
  • Maintains slot inventories and supplies
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Will work additional shifts as Cage Supervisor and Slot Supervisor when needed
  • Manages other initiatives as required

Education and Qualifications

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in slot operations
  • Cash cage experience an asset
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience
  • Serving it Right Certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Computer literacy in MS Office

Work Environment Considerations

  • Regular casino environment, standing for long periods of time, and non-traditional work hours
