Medical Office Assistant for Dr Rishi Jairath
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain electronic medical records and update patient information as necessary
- Assist with billing and coding processes
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications:
-Any experience with Accuro electronic EMR a strong bonus
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems and other office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology is beneficial but not required

We are a fast paced specialist’s office looking for a friendly and enthusiastic medical secretary. Someone who is detail oriented and has the ability to multitask and manage their time well. Must have a strong knowledge of EMR, appointment booking and OHIP billing preferred.
Responsibilities: • Performing reception and reception related duties for two physicians • Responding to routine inquires from clients and staff • Booking appointments, tests, and procedures • Redirecting calls • Critical thinking and problem solving skills • OHIP Billing
