Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing systems and be able to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining closed loop PVC piping for swimming pool filtration systems, chemical controller and feeding systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to read schematics effectively.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for installation and repairs.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or potential problems.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for installations or repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters when necessary.
- Assemble components of plumbing systems according to specifications.
- Adhere to safety regulations and building codes during all work activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber or in a similar role.
- Swimming pool experience is a big asset
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues.
- Familiarity with basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively.
- Experience with heavy lifting tasks related to plumbing installations.
- A valid commercial driving license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of carpentry is a plus but not required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
