Senior Interior Designer
We’re seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer with 7–10+ years in the field to join our growing team. We value original thinkers—those who bring innovative ideas, a deep passion for design, and the skills to turn bold concepts into reality. A solid understanding of construction practices and a history of successfully delivered projects is essential.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, studio-oriented designer who thrives in a creative environment and contributes at all stages of design—from concept development through detailed documentation and implementation. We're also looking for a natural leader—someone who enjoys mentoring others and plays an active role in shaping our vibrant studio culture.
What You'll Do
You’ll work closely with our Principal Designer, leading projects from initial client meetings to final handover. You’ll manage deliverables, mentor junior designers, and ensure our design work is executed with precision and creativity. This is a hands-on, dynamic role with plenty of opportunity to grow in a supportive, entrepreneurial setting.
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10+ years of professional experience in interior design or architecture
- Degree or diploma in Interior Design or Architecture
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code
- Deep understanding of building systems, construction methods, and detailing
- Experience across all phases: concept design, documentation, FF&E, and contract admin
- Confident coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong visual communication and presentation skills
- Critical thinker with a solutions-oriented mindset
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage timelines and documentation
- Independent and collaborative, with excellent attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and confident in client-facing situations
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple projects and uphold high design and technical standards
- Coordinate with consultants and oversee internal resources and schedules
- Manage space planning, documentation, and quality control
- Engage with clients on needs assessments and design vision
- Select materials, finishes, and FF&E; prepare specs and support procurement
- Maintain project timelines, fees, and budgets in collaboration with PMs
- Identify and resolve project risks
- Mentor junior team members and support onboarding
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Participate in business development and project pitches
- Stay informed on product trends and material performance

- Some travel may be required
- Valid driver’s license is necessary
- This is a full-time, in-office position
