Job Overview:
The role of the Registered Nurse is the promotion of health and the assessment of, the provision of care for and the treatment of health conditions by supportive, preventative, therapeutic, palliative and rehabilitative means in order to attain or maintain optimal function.
What must you have?
- Diploma in Nursing
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program preferred
- Current membership in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current certificate in cardiopulmonary resuscitation BCLS for registered nurses employed on the Respiratory Rehabilitation and Neurological Rehabilitation nursing units
- Must be able to achieve 80% in the Functional Independent Measure (FIM) certification exam within the probationary or familiarization period and on recertification exams if applying to work on any of the following rehabilitation units: 3C (Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation), 3D (Amputee Rehabilitation), 2C (Neurological Rehabilitation), 1D (TB Rehabilitation) and 5D (Respiratory Rehabilitation)
- Recent related clinical experience preferred

- Working knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario standards of practice
- Able to perform multiple admissions assessments in EPR on a daily basis.
- Able to work cohesively with the interdisciplinary team in a fast pace environment
What else do you bring?
- Experience with EPR/MOEMAR
- Evidence of satisfactory attendance record
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the Centre’s core values and helps patients get their life back
- Awareness of conditions and measures that may affect the safety of patients, residents, students, employees, volunteers, physicians and visitors
