Reports to: Performance & Training Manager

What You’ll Do

  • Provide expert-level strength and conditioning services tailored to clients’ unique goals and needs
  • Administer initial consultations to assess client objectives and customize program design
  • Leverage your personal brand and social media platforms to promote MNP Community & Sport Centre, attract new clients, and showcase training success stories
  • Be a voice for the Centre both in-person and online, sharing our values through regular, professional content
  • Maintain a strong online presence, regularly engaging with your audience and sharing relevant, educational, and motivating content related to health, wellness, and performance training
  • Lead clients in dynamic and well-structured training sessions that reflect your expertise and creativity
  • Collaborate with other trainers and coaches to optimize client programming through shared insights and best practices
  • Ensure correct technique and safety are always prioritized during sessions
  • Track client progress and deliver regular assessments as part of program evaluation
  • Maintain all technical standards, including completion of required documentation (e.g., PAR-Q, GAQ, Consent Forms)
  • Provide exceptional service and support to both new and long-term clients
  • Contribute to Centre programming by giving feedback on service improvements and participating in quarterly reviews
  • Assist with special projects that could benefit from your media reach or marketing acumen
  • Ensure set-up and takedown of equipment is handled efficiently
  • Enforce Centre policies and procedures while fostering a friendly and professional training environment
  • Attend in-services, staff meetings, and digital collaboration sessions as required
  • Complete timely administrative tasks including client tracking, session documentation, and payment processing
  • Always Maintain a professional appearance (i.e. always wear uniform and name tag)
  • Handle and report to the Manager any problems, concerns or emergencies that arise during your sessions
  • Promptly complete administrative tasks related to tracking client sessions, collecting payments, and payroll processing.
  • Attend In-services and meetings with supervisors or clients as requested

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Movement Science, or a related field. Consideration may be given to candidates holding a PFT diploma or certification
  • CPR C (recertified within one year) and Standard First Aid (recertified within 2 years) – required before employment can commence
  • 3–5 years of experience in personal training, with a proven record of results and client retention
  • Active and professional presence on social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.), with an established client-following or network
  • Strong digital communication skills and the ability to create engaging fitness content
  • Certifications such as CSEP-CPT/CEP, CSCS, NCCP Olympic Weightlifting, Kettlebell, TRX, or Rehab specialties considered assets
  • Experience with special populations or niche markets is highly desirable
  • Ability to retain and expand client base through both in-person training and online visibility
  • A team-player mindset with an entrepreneurial drive
  • High energy, adaptable to fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Willingness and physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and long durations of physical activity
