Job Description
General Description:
Reporting to Manager of Parking Services, Part time Student Parking Control Officer in Parking Services will provide front line customer service and assistance of parking inquiries from campus community and visitors, while governing yourself in a respectful and professional manner.
Address and resolve customer concerns all the while adhering to Parking Services Regulations.
Support the operation and maintenance of the parking automation system. Demonstrate the core values of the administration division Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity, Respect and Trust.
Representative Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service; assist visitors and permit holder’s admittance to parking lots, process-parking payments and provide wayfinding to customers.

Carrying out traffic control duties (which include, but not limited to, redirecting traffic, assisting with lane closures, handling traffic flow through McMaster Campus.

Know and carry out day-to-day enforcement duties

Knowledge and compliance of parking regulations

Assist in the maintenance of automation equipment (Example: reset power to gate and ticket stations, recalibrate ticket stations, replenish receipt and ticket paper and replacement or realignment of entry/exit gates. .

Able to manage parking automation system and answer intercom calls following all policies and procedures.

Educate cyclists on proper storage locations for bicycles.

Document and report all parking lot deficiencies and automation equipment failure reporting immediately to Shift Leader and or Supervisor. This includes but not limited to signage, asphalt, automation equipment, snow removal and parking lot debris. Duties assigned by Manager as required.
