Job Summary
Inspects product and monitors the manufacturing process according to established standards. Works within the Quality team, Operations groups and cooperatively with multi-department value streams to ensure quality product is shipped to customers on time. The Quality Technician is professionally accountable to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct incoming, in-process and final inspections to identify and document non-conforming materials or components.
- Perform First Article Inspections and prepare related documentation.
- Support the nonconforming material system to implement containment and dispositions.
- Assist manufacturing operations to quickly identify, contain and permanently resolve quality issues.
- Assist in the improvement of product and service quality by conducting root cause analysis, planning corrective and preventive actions, and verifying the results
- Represent the Quality Team as a point of contact for daily production support
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience working in a manufacturing or industrial work setting
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and specifications
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2025 Quality Management System
- Ability to achieve planned results by utilizing organization, prioritization and communications skills within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication skills relative to quality and technical issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Ability to reliably report status, performance and results
- Basic level knowledge of MS Outlook and Word; intermediate level Excel
- Hands-on experience with measuring tools e.g. calipers, height gauges, surface roughness gauge, tape measure
- Experience operating CMM and Zeiss optic scanner is an asset
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably IFS, for quality-related tasks
- A Diploma or Degree in technical discipline is preferred

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
This position will work in the Production area (Plant) and occasionally outdoors in the field, therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat. The work described while working in the plant or field will require wearing all PPE depending on circumstance which may include safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, leather gloves, safety vest, steel toed boots and on occasions a respirator.
