Senior/Principal Consultant – Accounting & SimCorp Dimension
FINARCH is a leading consultancy with deep expertise in Capital Markets and Investment Management technology.
We are currently seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant with extensive expertise in the Accounting domain and a strong track record of supporting financial institutions across North America through complex change initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with operations and accounting teams to gain an in-depth understanding of the investment book closing process across all period-end cycles (month-end, quarter-end, and year-end).
- Analyse and document existing workflows through stakeholder engagement and process observation, creating a comprehensive view of the current-state operating model.
- Leverage subject matter expertise to assess these processes, identifying inefficiencies, control gaps, and operational challenges that may impact performance or compliance.
- Support migration-related activities, including mapping and transitioning existing workflows to new systems and platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to critical accounting functions.
- Produce detailed documentation and deliver clear, actionable recommendations to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and optimise operational effectiveness.
- Assess and propose system enhancements to SimCorp Dimension to improve both day-to-day operations and period-end activities.
- Translate findings into a cohesive, practical implementation roadmap and work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure alignment, feasibility, and successful delivery.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of investment operations, accounting processes, and period-end close activities.
- Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension is essential.
- Proven ability to identify process improvements and design practical solutions.
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills.
