Pinchin is seeking a motivated individual to support the Occupational Health and Safety team in Richmond, BC as a Project Manager. Are you ready to accelerate your career? Join our growing Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team.

Our Team

The OHS division provides integrated solutions to construction, industrial, commercial, and manufacturing clients who require support in assessing and implementing various health and safety and industrial hygiene programs in their workplace. The combined skills of our industrial hygiene and safety professionals, their diverse backgrounds in safety assessments, auditing, program development and worker exposure surveys provide our clients with a team recognized as leaders in the field.

The Role

As a Project Manager you will work on a variety of projects such as: audits/assessments, construction site inspections, noise and air monitoring, confined space evaluations, developing various occupational health and safety programs and procedures, chemical exposure control plans/procedures and/ or managing the review of those documents.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Prepare proposals and project budgets
  • Develop OH&S policies, programs, and procedures
  • Conduct on-site assessments and audits, and complete reports
  • Conduct or manage occupational hygiene surveys
  • Develop and deliver OH&S training courses (in-house and external)
  • Review the work of assigned employees and colleagues to ensure it meets the standards established for Pinchin work
  • Provide technical mentorship and training to team members
  • Client development and marketing

What You Bring to the Pinchin Team

  • A university degree in engineering, chemistry, or physics, or a degree in a closely related biological or physical science
  • Professional health and safety designation: e.g. CIH/ROH/CRSP/CSP or actively working towards certification an asset
  • 3 or more years of occupational hygiene and/or safety experience with sound knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation (e.g. WorkSafe BC, Canada Labour Code, etc.)
  • Consulting or project management experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, professional presentation, and technical expertise
  • Proven writing skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Familiarity with invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required for lower mainland travel (all reimbursable)
  • Ability to travel out of town on occasion
