RVYC is currently seeking an organized, detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Expeditor Team Leader.
Summary:
As an Expeditor - Team Lead, you will serve as a pivotal link between the kitchen and front-of-house operations, ensuring the smooth flow of service and upholding the RVYC's culinary standards. Your leadership abilities, coupled with your keen organizational skills, will foster a cohesive team environment and elevate the dining experience for our esteemed members.
Main job responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff, servers, and chefs to streamline communication and optimize order flow.
- Assist in organizing and prioritizing orders to facilitate efficient preparation and presentation of dishes.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of each order, maintaining adherence to RVYC's standards.
- Coordinate food delivery timing with servers to ensure seamless service throughout each dining experience.
- Monitor kitchen production, expediting dishes to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Address any discrepancies or issues promptly and professionally, fostering a collaborative approach to resolution.
- Maintain composure under pressure, adapting to changing circumstances and high-volume service periods.
- Uphold responsible food handling practices and adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to optimize operational efficiency.
- Provide exceptional service and leadership when engaging with members and guests.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Expeditor or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a proactive approach to team collaboration.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate seamless interaction between kitchen and serving staff.
- Detail-oriented mindset and commitment to maintaining RVYC's culinary standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a composed demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation is advantageous.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
