About the role
Duties and responsibilities of the Customs Analyst include, but are not limited to :
Understanding trade programs administered by CBSA, CSA Accounting, Free Trade Agreements, classification, valuation, origin, and compliance monitoring
Basic customs knowledge on release procedures
Experience with internal Company systems
Support FCA Canada import/ export activities
Duty recovery & avoidance initiatives
Various projects/ initiatives
Vacation coverage as needed
Basic Qualifications :
Successful completion and maintenance of the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) Professional Examination. Copy of the certification will be required
The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer applications
Must demonstrate strong analytical skills to extract, analyze and present data
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment is required
Legally eligible to work in Canada
