Now Hiring: Front Cook – Shawarma Restaurant (Calgary Locations)

Location:  Aspen (West Springs), Downtown Calgary, and Trans Canada (16 Ave NW)

Jerusalem Shawarma is looking for an experienced and motivated  Front Cook  to join our fast-paced kitchen team. If you’re passionate about Mediterranean cuisine and can handle the heat on the line, this is the role for you!

Job Title:  Front Cook

Type:  Full-Time / Part-Time

Locations:  Must be available to work at multiple Calgary locations:

  • Aspen (West Springs)
  • Downtown (17 Ave SW)
  • Trans Canada (16 Ave NW)

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a  shawarma-style kitchen  is a must.
  • Skilled in Cutting shawarma meat , wrapping sandwiches, grilling/BBQ
  • Skilled in Knife handling  and  safe food preparation
  • Skilled in Using kitchen appliances  to prepare, heat, and finish menu items
  • Ability to work under pressure in a  fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to handle  repetitive tasks and moderate weight (lifting meat, supplies, etc.).
  • Speak, read, and write  English.
  • Basic  numeracy  for portioning and measuring ingredients.
  • Follow  recipes  and presentation standards consistently.
  • Operate  standard kitchen equipment  safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all  sanitation, safety , and  food production codes.

Our roots started in Palestine when our grandfather started this restaurant business in the middle of last century in a village in Palestine. With the great passion he had for food and its varieties, he developed about unique recipes to ensure customer satisfaction.

My grandfather’s restaurant provided the residents of the village with fresh ethnic foods such as hummus, falafel, beef and chicken shawarma. Jerusalem shawarma & Bakery is the result of the grandfather experience in Palestinian cuisine.
