Accounting Clerk Position
Commissionaires Manitoba is seeking an Accounting Clerk for an immediate vacancy in the Division Headquarters finance department located at 870 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
Summary:
The Accounting Clerk Position will provide support within the Commissionaires Finance department and the operations management team in various tasks and projects through collecting, recording, and analyzing financial data.
The position is a general office environment with a Monday to Friday day regular schedule.
Duties and Accountabilities**:**

Ensure timely entry of our sales invoices
-
Accounts receivable collection
-
Staff enrollments/releases
-
Payroll entry
-
Prepare month end reconciliation reports & month end journal entries adjustments
-
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to, Accounts payable, receivables, Finance liaison, and preparation of monthly reports.
Qualifications
-
The incumbent shall possess post-Secondary education in Accounting, Commerce or Finance andmid-level enrollment in a Professional accounting designation or CPA (CGA, CA or CMA).

They shall have 2-5 years of experience in accounting/finance in a professional organization. Experience with not-for-profit business is considered an asset.

Must hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance either Level 1 (5 years of residence) or Level 2 (10+ years of residence)
Skills Required:

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and database software
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills
-
High level of work accuracy and attention to detail and be accountable for their work results.

Experience with Accounting and Payroll programs Must be able to adapt to continuously changing priorities and use analytical and critical thinking to solve problems.
Knowledge Required:
Demonstrated understanding of and aptitude for finance processes, including accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, reconciliations, and data entry, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Strong initiative and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Ability to interact effectively with internal and external persons and agencies.
