The Environmental Services Department consists of Housekeeping, Linen and Laundry, and other Support Services, for our clients in the Hospital.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Cleans carpets, including steam cleaning and shampooing
-
Strips and waxes floors
-
Scrubs and seals tile floors
-
Operates auto scrubbers, floor stripping and buffing machine
-
Sweeps and mops floors
-
Performs waste management functions
-
Clean linen delivery, soiled linen pickup
-
Performs work on a ladder
-
Sweeps and cleans the grounds around the campus
-
Meeting room and special event setups
-
Moves boxes & furniture
-
Washes walls & windows
-
Terminal cleaning of patient rooms
-
General cleaning (including washrooms and main kitchen)
-
Adheres to infection control practices, departmental policies and procedures
-
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
-
Current High school completion or equivalent required
-
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
-
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
-
Good communication skills
-
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member to accomplish daily tasks
-
Ability to lift maximum weight (23 kgs)
-
Ability to work under extreme weather conditions (i.e. heat or cold when working outdoors)
