About the role
Agilus is recruiting for an Instrumentation Lead in the engineering consulting industry in Calgary, Alberta.
This role will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, including fabrication scope, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
A typical day:
- Assist in the development of the construction execution plan in line with the overall project strategy
- Assist with the development of proposals including cost estimate, schedule & execution plan
- Ensure alignment between engineering and execution schedules, monitoring project metrics including cost, quantities, scheduled milestones, and progress.
- Verify manpower loading requirements and secure personnel
- Provide constructability input into design work
- Resolving issues that may arise during construction, collaborating with project stakeholders to find effective solutions.
Successful candidates will have:
- Journeyperson Trade Certification in Instrument and Controls Technician.
- 10 + years of Instrumentation experience - strong oil and gas background (gas plants, well sites, oil batteries, liquid gathering and handling facilities).
- EPCM background is an asset.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, and project management tactics.
