Job Type: Part-Time Permanent

Hours: 24 hours per week, 3 shifts per week

Job Description:

The RSA is responsible for the duties of multiple departments, organizing your time between food services, housekeeping, and client supports with an emphasis on high-quality client care and services.

  • Daily activities of the housekeeping, support staff, and food service include appropriate cleaning of all offices, washrooms, detox rooms, client rooms, and common areas, maintaining residents in the food outlet, and assisting with bag searches.
  • Consistently offer welcoming, friendly, and warm service to residents and visitors.
  • Provide intuitive service, engaging with residents and visitors and anticipating their needs.
  • Foster positive cross-departmental relationships to create a seamless experience.
  • Follow detailed cleaning standards.
  • Ensuring all residence and colleague requests are handled in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Supporting and upholding policies and procedures including the promoting and participation in Health and Safety initiatives.
  • Clean all assigned areas including: sanitizing, dusting, cleaning and replacing of linen from rooms, vacuuming, spot cleaning carpets, bathroom cleaning, window cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness in common areas.
  • Assistance with deep cleaning of resident rooms and actively participating the preventative maintenance program.
  • Moving furniture and supplies as required.
  • Responsible for preparing the dining area before residences are seated for meals.
  • Deliver food to residence while ensuring they receive the correct plate.
  • Assisting in bussing, cleaning, and set-up of tables.
  • Washing plates, cups, glasses, pots, and pans - stocking them in proper order and proper place
  • Sweep, mop the kitchen area as required and following dinner.
  • Take out garbage periodically including at the end of the shift.
  • Report any maintenance needs required in residence rooms, service areas and public spaces.
  • Return all lost and found articles to the Staff Office.
  • Help maintaining all supplies and inventory for housekeeping.
  • Responsible for inspection of all client rooms and food services areas
  • Uphold highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Knowledge of WHIMIS and safety standards.
  • Monitors the use and inventories of housekeeping supplies.
  • Performs other related duties and follow standards as assigned/applicable.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Job Qualifications:

  • Food Handlers Certificate is an asset
  • Previous experiences housekeeping and food services.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs, change goals and direction quickly and ability to multi-task.
  • Proven excellence in client care and service.
  • Capable of using independent judgement/solid decision-making skills.
  • Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, clients, associates both inside and outside the organization.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish goals with a strong sense of responsibility.
  • Proficiency with general office PC applications word, spreadsheet.
  • Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating, and personal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication, and attention to detail
  • Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
