About the role:
Want to kickstart your HR career while working on real, meaningful projects? We’re hiring a full-time People Ops Coordinator to support our People Operations team. You’ll be coordinating recruitment processes, keeping our office running smoothly, and helping build a great employee experience at a fast-paced startup. This role requires 2 days in office, with the opportunity to work abroad or remotely up to two months per year.
In this role you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Monitor and respond to the HR inbox for employment verification letters and general questions
- Help manage employee data and workflows in our HRIS
- Support onboarding for new hires, including scheduling, documentation, and equipment set up
- Contribute to ongoing HR projects and team initiatives
- Keep the office stocked and running smoothly (water, snacks, supplies, etc.)
- Coordinate internal events like our quarterly socials and team-building activities
- Be our go-to person for all things logistics, troubleshooting, and office vibes
- Lead internship recruitment from job posting to onboarding
- Coordinate recruitment for junior Operations and Sales roles (e.g., Estimators, Logistics, Junior Buyers)
- Schedule interviews and keep hiring managers informed
- Ensure candidates have a great experience throughout the process
- Support the creation of content that showcases GoMaterials' culture and team life (job posts, careers page, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Help promote open roles and milestones across platforms
What we're looking for:
- A Bachelor's degree or DEC diploma in HR, Business, Communications or a related field
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
- Resourceful, proactive, and always ready to learn
- Fluent in English (French is a strong asset)
- Familiar with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
- 0-1 year of experience in an HR or administrative role
