THE POSITION Main Activities and Responsibilities Reporting organisationally to the FIFA26 CAN Manager, Host City Rights Management, the Specialist, Host City Rights Delivery will be a key member of the FIFA26 CAN Commercial Operations team. They will work in collaboration with the FIFA World Cup 26™ Vancouver Host Committee and individuals from other key functional areas responsible for ensuring all rights granted by FIFA to the Host City are managed and executed accordingly.
The main responsibilities of the Specialist, Host City Rights Delivery for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Organize and deliver efficient communications between FIFA26 CAN, the Host City Committee and other stakeholders.
- Work with Host City and FIFA Commercial Sales & Partnership teams to execute commercial rights granted to the Host Cities.
- Aid Host Cities in fundraising efforts by supporting their day-to-day commercial activities.
- Ensure that FIFA rights and assets are leveraged in accordance with Brand Guidelines and facilitate approvals on all project-based initiatives, including Host City and Supporter IP usage and licensed premiums.
- Ensure that any Host City Supporter deals are within FIFA regulations and contracted by and signed off by FIFA Commercial Legal.
- Ensure adherence to the FIFA commercial framework by the Host Cities and Commercial Partners at FIFA Fan Festival.
- Assist in the operational requirements for all FIFA26 CAN & Host City milestones, including local events and Trophy Tour stops.
- Support Host City licensing & retail efforts including coordinating premium orders.
- Leverage CRM tools for ongoing project planning and reporting purposes.
- Create cross-collaborative environment with FIFA Commercial Sales & Partnerships, Commercial Legal, Licensing & Retail, Brand & Marketing, FIFA Films & Content Production, Digital, Communications, Fan Festivals, FIFA Trophy Tour, amongst others.
- Other duties as assigned.
- This role requires you to be onsite 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) at our Vancouver Office.
- Travel within Canada, to the US and/or Mexico may be required to reflect the business needs of the department (meetings, workshops, site visits, other Events, etc).

Education
- Bachelor’s degree or similar higher education in Business Administration, Sport Administration, Marketing, etc.
Work Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a relevant marketing, client service or rights delivery role.
- Proven track-record in managing complex projects.
- The following strengths: collaboration, motivational leadership, excellent communication skills and positive relationship-management skills.
- Ability to adopt a strategic view, make decisions, and act promptly.
- Ability to operate in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
- Ability to work cross-collaboratively across a variety of functional areas.
- Experience in Sports industry is a benefit.
- Experience in working with government stakeholders, tourism bodies and international offices/staff is a benefit.
Languages
- Fluent in English, French proficiency is a plus.
Technology
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools.
